"Really, really bad surprises! No woman and 'the next Eastwood' in Best Director! Lincoln leads (again!) with 12 nominations, and Life of Pi follows with 11, while Les Miserables and Silver Lining Playbook get 8, and Argo gets 7 without (once again), Ben Affleck."
Apa jadinya Oscar tanpa kejutan? That will be totally boring, tapi tentu penuh kontroversi. Ya! Sedangkan Amour? Sama sekali bukan tak ada ikut campur AS, namun secara mengejutkan berhasil menembus Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, dan Best Actress. Well, meski Best Director cukup mengecewakan, Best Actress hadir dengan pilihan yang sangat tepat sekaligus paling unik: Chastain, Lawrence, Wallis, Riva, dan Watts. Unik?
